At Pure Puer Tea, we use only good quality leaves to make our mini tuocha. We do not employ the common practice of using leftover tea to make mini tuocha. Tuocha offers a convenient size for tea making. It has a smooth, deep, earthy taste, with a hint of camphor. Each ball weighs 5 grams (0.18 oz.)
Amount to use: 1 tuocha ball to 1 cup (237ml or 8oz of water.) This tea can be brewed about 10 times.
How to brew: Remove paper. Place one tuocha in the teapot. Soak the tea in *195 degree F (90 C) water for 1 to 2 minutes to loosen, awaken and clean the tea. Discard water. Add 195 degree F (90 C) water and brew 3 to 8 seconds. Serve. Be careful not to over brew this tea.
*This temperature may be approximated by:
1) Heating water until medium bubbles form or
2) Removing a pot of boiling water from its heat source and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
