The polycarbonate inner cup and lid have been additionally tested in Taiwan and Japan for BPA safety. The outer container is made of durable Taiwan glass. The Taiwan tests, which can detect amounts as little as 1ppm, show that no BPA leaching was detected when subjected to 203F water for 30 minutes. The polycarbonate is imported from Dow Chemical and the Teijin Company of Japan.
