This is what award-winning food writer, radio talk show host, and author Michele Anna Jordan wrote about Pure Puer Tea in her latest “Mouthful” column in the Santa Rosa, CA Press Democrat Newspaper:
Pure Puer and King Cakes: On Sunday morning, when the Sebastopol Farmers Market returns to its traditional space in the parking lot that surrounds the town plaza at the corner of McKinley Street and Petaluma Avenue, a new vendor will join in. Larry and Yang Su Chin of Pure Puer, a tea company located in Marin County, will introduce their premium puer and other teas to West County customers.
If you are unfamiliar with this fermented and aged tea, Sunday is a great opportunity to give it a try. It could change your life, as it changed ours. Since our first sip a decade or so ago, we find it hard to start the day off right without a cup of this earthy black tea.
The Chins have an excellent selection of puer, along with a few other excellent teas and one of the best tea pots you’ll find anywhere.
